Landes : dix migrants retrouvés vivants dans un camion frigorifique sur une aire de l'autoroute A63
Dix migrants ont été retrouvés sains et saufs samedi 5 août, vers 8 heures du matin, sur l'aire de Saugnac-et-Muret, sur l'A63, dans le sens Bayonne-Bordeaux, rapporte France Bleu Gascogne.
C'est le chauffeur qui a prévenu les gendarmes : il faisait sa pause réglementaire, sur l'aire d'autoroute, quand il a entendu des cris et des coups sur la paroi de son camion. À l'intérieur, il a découvert dix personnes, avec lesquelles il a passé la frontière espagnole sans le savoir.
Trois enfants âgés de six à dix ans
Les migrants ont été pris en charge par les pompiers, qui ont vérifié que le voyage dans le camion frigo n'avait pas altéré leur santé. Ils ont reçu de l'eau et de la nourriture, avant d'être confiés aux gendarmes qui ont contrôlé leur identité, et vérifié qu'ils n'avaient jamais commis de délit en France. Ils ont déclaré vouloir acheter des billets de train pour continuer leur périple, puisque les Landes ne sont qu'une étape pour eux dans leur périple en direction de la Grande-Bretagne.
Il s'agissait de ressortissants irakiens et iraniens, issus de deux familles différentes, parmi lesquels un homme de 41 ans, deux femmes d'une trentaine d'années, deux adolescents d'environ 16 ans et trois enfants âgés de six à dix ans. Tous avaient embarqué à bord d'un camion frigorifique qui faisait route vers la Grande-Bretagne.
Procédé classique des passeurs
Les gendarmes ont conduit les migrants à la gare de Labouheyre. Le chauffeur a été entendu par les gendarmes pour être mis hors de cause, et a pu poursuivre sa route vers la Grande-Bretagne.
Ce procédé est classique selon les forces de l'ordre : les passeurs arrivent à faire monter les clandestins à bord des camions à l'insu des chauffeurs. Ils effacent ensuite toute trace de leur présence et arrivent même à replomber les portes des remorques.
